Hi Folks, Ice fishing season is upon us! Winter is off to a great start. Cold and snowing, perfect. Our lakes are starting to freeze. Good early jump to the ice fishing season. I like at least 4” of black ice in order to venture out of the hard water. Should be good to go this week with the Arctic temperatures.  I will be offering ice fishing trips once again. We will chase northern pike, bass, walleye, trout, and panfish. All of the gear is included with my service and I use  2 heated Clam Ice Fishing Shelters.  Typically I can take 1-4 anglers ice fishing. However, with some advanced notice I am able to accommodate larger parties. All anglers 15 and up will need an VT fishing license. Good winter boots are a must. High boots that keep you dry and warm. I have ice cleats for anglers to strap on for when it is slippery. Dressing in layers, bringing sunglasses or googles and or prepare like you are going skiing will make for an enjoyable comfortable experience. Experience is not necessary and everything I do is educational. Catamount Fishing Adventures is in the fun business.
